LOUISIANA La. — Kenneth McManis, the former chairman of civil and environmental engineering at the University of New Orleans, has been named department head for civil engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, ULL announced Monday.
McManis received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at ULL and his master’s degree and doctorate at LSU.
While at UNO, McManis helped oversee creation of a master’s program in environmental engineering and contributed to the development of a doctorate program in engineering and applied science.
He has generated more than $15 million in research funds.
