the entire conference has never had a ranked team. they wont be on anyone's radar until a good showing (not even necessarily a win) next week. although a lost tonight by OSU may dampen that. we definitely need them to win.

MACcrapTASTIC teams climb above 15 often. If this team goes 7 or 8-0 (BIG IF), they'll be a top 15 team. Especially with a win over Oklahoma St. Deserved or not, that will happen.

Cajuns had 2 votes in the AP poll one week last year. Cajuns also had a vote in the coaches poll to finish the season last year. Don't know where the second AP vote came from, but the most know who the other voters were.

It's not that ridiculous, knucklehead. The poll is a running extension of last year, and after having gone 9-4, with a bowl win, we were on the cusp of a vote or two, then. You start out 2-0 and it starts to make that first vote shake loose. That is the reality of it.
