Use an HDMI cable. Sound will play from the TV speakers.

Hearing that Cox and LUS are not subscribers that allow "live" viewing on espn3.com this year. Please confirm if you are able to see any live events. This is not good. This went into effect Aug 27th.

These ESPN3 game are ones you watch at your own house with friends. Mine will be going through my XBox Live, and sound through my sound system, then to my 60" TV...I'll be ok.
Turn down your TV & turn UP Jay Walker & Gerald Broussard on your radio. Are there any limits to whch internet providers carry the ESPN 3 package & do you have to subscribe for the season? How much is it & what time frame? The only info I got from going to the site was very limited.

You are not hooking up your laptop through the cable. It's through the S-Video, completely different output source.

I did the same thing last year. Worked well. Used some of the money to bump up the broadband speed. Ran cat6 to the tv area to eliminate wifi issues (22 networks in range of my network!). Semi-permanently located a laptop with HDMI output in the entertainment center. Set up three different browsers with watchespn.com as the home page (amazing how often a particular browser can be the weak link). We have cable again, but only because my wife caved. I guess she wasn't satisfied with Netflix and Hulu. Anyway, I typically watch the Cajuns live and then replay it at least twice, and I'll watch the Cajuns next opponent if they are on there.

What if the restaurant were to hook an xbox to their tv systems?

Just checked this out for Cox. They are a listed subscriber, and I can watch live.
