Thread: CBS Sports Bowl Projections...

UL Football CBS Sports Bowl Projections...

Gotta say, CBS Sports seems to be spreading the love for the Ragin' Cajuns!

They see us playing in the Independence Bowl vs. Texas A&M. That would be fun. But I must admit, NOLA can't be beat with the partying and atmosphere.

Either way, no matter what bowl they project us in, THEY PROJECT US IN A BOWL... and this is something that is just another piece to the puzzle of gaining recognition and more recognition.

But why stop there, let's get a bigger bowl!

La Tech vs A&M in the regular season in Shreveport

UL vs A&M in a bowl game in Shreveport

I wonder which one would draw more?

I think I know the answer. Could we then say that we own the Shreveport market?

UL in Shreveport and La Tech in New Orleans for bowl games? I can't see that happening. The bowls, as well as the schools, need to sell tickets. At least 10,000 more Cajun fans would make it to the NO Bowl than would make the trip to Shreveport and Tech would sell at least 10,000 more for the I-Bowl than they would for the NO Bowl. The NO Bowl is best served if one of either UL or USM is a participant. Here's a question. Could a UL vs La Tech, or maybe a UL VS USM matchup in the NO Bowl this year possibly sell out the Superdome? I think every person that has EVER been a Cajun fan would be there.

I like USM in New Orleans, but no to LTU, I think the NOB and UL would be better served by Northern Illinois, we need that Chi Town market, not the RustoOn market.

Doubt we will be going to the Indy Bowl. That would mean that the ACC would not fill their bowl slots. Also, I think that the New Orleans Bowl will always want us.

Where does the Sunbelt Champ go this year?

Is it too much to ask for these "experts" to know the trappings of the Sun Belt bowl selection process?

I question Wisconson and Boise State in a BCS bowl. Usually like Boise State but dont think they will make it past Nevada at Nevada so his one loss prediction is gone. Wisconson and the Big 10 is dicy at best. They always crater at the end and no longer have a stud at QB.

A&M v. UL in New Orleans, thats the ticket. CUSA wont get enough teams to fill all bowl committments.

LMAO. Completely agree. I wasn't referring to Shreveport as being fun, I was referring to playing A&M in a bowl as being fun.

I think you're missing some of the delights of Greater Shrevepit; Bossier is right there with its high-end casinos, and more cathouses per capita than any city in LA.

But I don't think we should go there. As the Teck fans constantly remind us, all of that is on their campus.
