Any word?
That suuuucks. I was loving seeing Montrel out there. Good vision, hits the hole quick, good hands, and he's so small he can be used like Reggie Bush or Darren Sproles, the defense just loses him behind the line and next thing you know, he's 5 yards up field.
I'm not going to speculate about the injury. But, when we immediately get word that a player will not return, it's usually not good.
Not good at all.
Other than the fumble from Reed...he will fit in nicely if Carter has to miss time. It's nice to see a big bruiser back and a small shifty speed back. On a side note...did anyone else see how fast Qyen Griffin was at linebacker? Guy can shorten the field in a split second.
Damnit. Ok, so there you go Jay, jinxing us with all that "we had good luck last" year talk just before the season. We were on an injury free roll, man. You know to never talk about a no hitter. So I completely and totally hold you personally responsible for our first injury bug bite! It is nice, though, to have the depth we have at back with Reed. Still, I hope the Carter injury is not as bad as it potentially could be.
We sit close enough to the field I could see the Doc's working with him and talking into his ear and each other. I got the impression it wasn't that bad and I thought he jumped off the table after the exams and tried to trot along the sideline. Sorry to hear it may be more serious.
Can someone correct the young mans name in the title?
----This is NO LIE---I am saying that maybe Qyen could be the fastest LB in the history of UL football---I mentioned that he can actually chase down backs with a little angle (well he is a back) ----next play he goes to his left---And chases the guy down---I turn to the kid behind me and say that at times I do predict some plays---fun time!!!
He's a beast. No doubt, this guy could have played at any SEC school & been a big time contributor. I know it was Lamar & all, but I checked the record & since they restarted football, they've been a middle of the road SLC team. If you swap uniforms with let's say Okla. St. LSU, Alabama, or someone like that you wouldn't have noticed the difference in what any of those would have done & what the Cajuns did last night. It makes next week's test all that much more intriguing.
