Right now it looks like this team is going to be below .500 and I hope we can make the tournament. I do think that three years from now we can look back and say it was worth it. It is going to be a tough road this year and next. I think Robert has the right ideal if he can hang on to reap the rewards. I will be supporting the team no matter what they do, because that is what a true fan does.

Thanks for your support, and being a true fan. Robert Lee, IMO is the type of coach we need . I believe he takes a loss harder than the AD, in fact I am certain of it. Our present AD backs him 100%, and our next one better as well. I think THE GENERAL will survive this season. In fact at the end of the season I suspect we will all feel he did an outstanding job. Coach Lee understands he, as all new coaches, has a limited time to succeed. He succeeded with players he recruited while helping Jesse find a fatter life style. He made some errors on junior college players for the 05-06 season and did not keep those errors. He has moved on, and will be around to enjoy the rewards of that move.

Thank you for making this point. I've seen several "Lee can't recruit" comments recently that conveniently ignore his quite significant contributions to "Jessie's" recruiting classes.

Robert Lee is our coach, I like him and the kids on this team showed me signs that if that get hot it's going to be good. The problem is when they are off it's going to be bad. Hopefully with the minutes that some of our guys are going to get this year we will be able to get the swing in the middle. I have a feeling we are going to take a ride on the rollercoaster this year. I will be there at the dome and by the radio on the road.

Furthermore I hope he is there in 2014 to recruit my son to play basketball. The ten year old loves Coach. That is why the Louisiana Ragin Cajun Basketball team will be good years to come. Coach is selling it to the youngsters.

I agree with the last poster: Robert is good for the community. I wish he would get out more and let people know what he is doing and his plan. Being a head coach at a Mid-Major University you have to be a politician like it or not. I think if he would do that more, he would have them eating out of his hand and be able to get the things he needs to run a good Mid-Major program. Back to basketball, next year: if LaRyan Gary, Brandon Dison, Damon Forrest and Randell Daigel, Eli Milsap get their grades, and Chris Grandigo & Cory Bloom are playing. They would have a great opportunity to be good next year and very special the next two years. The only problem is in the post. The only true post on the team after this year is Courtney Wallace. I don’t think they will have a scholarship to give next year. Because of the NCAA APR, They have to loose one this year and one next year putting them at 12. I think this will be the team next year:
    2007-08 Cajuns
1 Barksdale PG/Medical Redshirt this year Sr. 5’9”
    2 Daigle PG Fr. 5’9”
    3 Lego PG Soph. 6’0”
    4 Dison PG/G Fr. 6’4”
    5 Forrest G Fr. 6’4”
    6 Dees SG Sr. 6’3”
    7 Milsap G/F Fr. 6’5”
    8 Garndigo G/F Fr. 6’6”
    9 Gary F/G Fr. 6’7”
    10 Johnson F/G Fr. 6’7”
    11 Bloom G/F Soph. 6’6”
    12Wallace F/C Soph. 6’8”
Walk On Rhett Hebert Sr. 6’0” Starting PG this year
Steven Dees Fr. 6’1” I guess he is a walk on
I just don’t see where we can sign another player this year.

in these days of political correctness, isn't it nice to have a situation where a black guy named 'robert lee' gets called 'general' in obvious reference to the greatest symbol of the confederacy and IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL?!?!?!?!

    gotta love it.

somebody explain to pupu what the confederacy was.
