Thought that showed how the team knows how to have fun and when to have fun... enjoyed the game!!
While the bulk of the Sun Belt Conference women's basketball teams were hard at work, sweating out what amounts to a play-in game in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, the UL players were ladies of leisure Monday.
UL coach J. Kelley Hall gave his team the day off Monday after its impressive season-ending 75-59 win over North Texas Sunday.
"They deserve it," Hall said. "They had a huge win Sunday and they've had two very long and very successful months. We'll take the day and get back to work Tuesday."
The Cajun women have that luxury courtesy of their Western Division title, one they had locked up even before Sunday's win. With that title comes a first-round bye - missing the one-and-done situation in Wednesday's five first-round games - and the knowledge their spot in Saturday's quarterfinal is secure.

As always. We appreciate your support (very positive). It has been a struggle at times this year but for the most part the ladies have played at a high level. I'll take 2 bad halves (1 in Jan @ MTSU; 1 @ Jonesboro). We are very proud of this basketball team.
Hope everybody will come out @ 6:30 P.M. Sat night to support your WESTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS @ the Cajun Dome.

Congrats, Lady Cajuns!
I was sitting with Coach Rick Insell last night, and he raved about JK Hall. It seems as if Hall is one of his best friends.Originally Posted by Zeebart21

KR, we are just a couple of players away from being a dynamic team. The day will come soon, when UL, MT, and others will be fixtures in the top 25. I truly believe that.Originally Posted by KAjunRaider

Here's a question to consider...Originally Posted by Zeebart21
Let's say our men's basketball team finds itself in need of a coach some time in the next couple of years. (Note, I'm not saying anything about Coach Lee, I'm just putting out a situation.) What would it be like to have JK Hall as men's coach, and his wife as women's coach?
Oh man, Im not even gonna try to wrap my brain around that scenario....Originally Posted by BabbForHeisman
