Kim Perot, the most complete player I have ever seen. My wife coached against her in the early 80's. There was no way to stop her presence on the court. Scoring, dribbling or passing--she always found a way to beat you.

UL's women's basketball team needed a big performance from Whitney Dunlap Wednesday night, and all Dunlap did was respond with the best game of her life.
The sophomore, filling in at the point for the suspended Jeanenne Colbert, gunned in 22 points and didn't miss a shot all night, leading the Ragin' Cajuns to a comeback 58-43 victory over UL Monroe in their Sun Belt Conference contest at Long Gym.
Dunlap had 14 of her points in the second half as the Cajuns (20-7, 11-4 Sun Belt) rallied from a 25-24 halftime deficit. She finished the night 6-for-6 from the field and 3-for-3 outside the three-point arc after entering the game averaging 4.1 points per game as a backup to Colbert, who was suspended for a violation of university policy Wednesday.
"It felt amazing," said Dunlap, who hadn't touched the court in UL's 77-61 loss at Arkansas State last Wednesday. "The main thing was taking smart shots. We were getting a lot of good looks."

A Big Conference Win for the Cajuns, and what a fun game to watch at a nearly packed Earl K. Long Gym. I don't think anyone left early, and finally some payback to ULM, for a close loss in Monroe. I'm glad Coach Hall didn't have a choice to leave Dunlap on the bench the entire game like in Arkansas. She was on FIRE last night !!! Hopefully we can get all the piece's of the puzzle back together and finish the season strong, and get ready for the Sun Belt.

Whitney was truly on fire! While it was a pleasure watching the team as a whole dismantle ULM, watchin Whitney slice and dice them was great. The part I always (at least for the next couple of weeks) remember about this game was, when we were up by 12 or 13 with about 3 minutes to go, they inbounds the ball to Whitney, and she stands there with the ball on her hip, burnin time. Almost as if she was sayin "I DARE you to come get it. I DARE YOU!" Quite awesome. Let's give a big congrats to Coaches Hall for their 3rd 20-win season, and wish them luck in sweeping the rest of the season to win the Sun Belt West.Originally Posted by CajunTundra

This is off-topic, so I apologize.
How the hell do I post a "new" topic.
I have done it before, but cannot figure it out. Guess I've drank too much beer and lost some brain cells.

UL's women's basketball team could take a giant step toward winning the Sun Belt Conference Western Division title tonight.
So could Denver.
The two clubs meet at 8 p.m. at Denver's Magness Arena in what is now the West's pivotal game in the race for the division crown and a first-round bye in the Sun Belt Tournament.
The Cajuns (20-7, 11-4 Sun Belt) could survive a loss and still claim a bye, but only if UL wins its last two and Denver and Arkansas State each pick up a loss next week. The Pioneers (16-9, 11-5) don't have that luxury, and must win to remain in title contention.
But Denver is the West's hottest team, having won five in a row and taking those wins by an average of more than 15 points a game.

Lady Cajuns Win !!! 67 to 55 . Sounded like a tough game in the thin atmosphere, a few injuries also, but we were able to prevail.
