I agree Rhett shot a little too much last night. In the previous home game, he was making those threes in the first half. He cooled off in the second half against UALR when they paid more attention to him defensively. Rhett is a guy who is great at knocking down threes in warmup, practice etc. He was also proficient at it in high school. Why then is his % not higher in the games. Answer is speed of the college game. He is going at a pace so fast compared to his natural ability that he has trouble squaring on those jumpers. Having said that, he played a good floor game last night as the team had only three TO's.Originally Posted by Cajun Express

What I want to call it is a tension relief win.
With that win under their belts I expect the Ragin' Cajuns to play a little looser Saturday and another win (back to back) which I would consider a real confidence booster.

Does anyone know why Hart was losing playing time the last few games? Not only have his minutes been reduced, but he was completely out of the rotation two games ago...Originally Posted by rhineaux
Hey neither the Lady Cajuns or Ragin Cajuns have lost this year.

UL's men's and women's basketball teams, both coming off Sun Belt Conference wins during the week, hope to continue those streaks Saturday when the squads take on Florida International.

UL's women's basketball team won with defense in its last outing Wednesday. If the Cajuns are going to win again today, they'll need a similar performance.
UL (11-5, 3-2 Sun Belt) forced Denver to miss its first 10 shots after halftime Wednesday, helping the Cajuns break loose from 27-27 at halftime and score 14 straight points on the way to a 72-52 win.
Today, they'll face a Florida International team - emphasis on the international - that rained in 10 three-pointers Thursday in a 56-41 road win at South Alabama.
"We know how capable they are," UL coach J. Kelley Hall said of FIU, "how they can shoot, rebound and play defense."

Hart was one of the guys who had to have his minutes cut in order to get Milsap into the rotation. He was back to playing with passion on Thursday. He just needs to make sure the putbacks he gets go in the basket. He missed a couple of those on Thursday.Originally Posted by Tripple Threat
FIU is tough this will be a battle.
If I understood Stevie P. correctly this is only the 3rd win in 23 tries when UL allows 70 points or more.
Way to Geaux Lady Cajuns.
