If being associated with R&L Carriers does for the New Orleans Bowl what it has done for Matt Kenseth, then good things are coming.

The Ohio-based trucking company that is an associate sponsor for Kenseth, the Nextel Cup leader, is the new title sponsor for the Dec. 22 bowl game at the Superdome.

Official announcement will be made today.

"We've been wanting to get into the college football business for some time, and we felt that connecting with the New Orleans Bowl was a good one to start with," said Dewey Gallet, R&L's vice president for sales and marketing. "It's also a good way to show our support for the city of New Orleans."

R&L, which has a fleet of more than 13,000 tractors and trailers, operates a facility on Almonaster Boulevard and has more than 150 employees in Louisiana.
