speaking of outliving. Anyone else ever hear the rumor of Ray wanting to "out-service" the fellah they have running UNO? Apparently the UNO guy has bee there longer, and therefore, the rumor is that Ray won't leave until that guy leaves and then ray will serve his tenure longer, and then finally retire.

Well that can't be right. UNO appointed Tim Ryan as it's chancellor in 2003. Before that i believe the chancellor was O'Brien.

You are correct, O'Brien got into trouble funding his daughters wedding from foundation funds. He felt that part of the wedding reception needed to be funded by the university because he had to invite many people in a professional capacity.
