Some people say, well if they were winning, or if they put a better product on the field. But yet, these people cry and cry, and don't support the team when they are winning. Go figure! If more people would see it as an oppourtunity to have the game as a family outing, then more interest would be there. One thing is for sure, I will be there winning or losing!

    Go Cajuns!!!!!!!!!

i couldn't have said it any better. we are always saying that people in the acadiana area are dying for a decent football program, and that we are a 'sleeping giant'. Well, its time to live up to that reputation. We are defending conference co-champs, we are riding a four game winning streak, and we have one of the top rb's in the country. What else could people be waiting for. The time is now to support the cajun program. Come to the game, spend a few bucks, make some noise, do something to support this program, because now is the time that our program finally has a chance to thrive, we are on the upswing, finally winning. If we support the program, i expect this to continue, if we merely ignore this situation and take this for granted, before we know what hit us, we'll be back in the "bottom 10" rankings on espn...

You are also pretty good at tripping over cheerleader's banners.

Forget the hardcore tailgaters for a moment. (OK I can't forget about them) however, to me they are a totally separate game day entity. They are what they are, and as far as I'm concerned HCTG's don't owe the game their presence. I feel about them like I do about the Sesame Street crowd, they both went to an event at Cajun Basin that happened at the same time as a UL football game.

... If it gets to the point where we can't put 15,000 in the stands I will probably feel differently.

Instead of looking at how many fans were in the seats think of how many empty seats there were. My guess is 10,000

Take into consideration that at any moment in time at least 95% of the fans in the stadium are glued to their seats. Meaning, there might be as much as 5% of the fans out of their seats. Some going to the restroom, others getting food and drink still some loitering in the concourse.

Your guess of 10,000 empty seats means (based on stadium size) you figure 21,000 in attendance. I suggest you can add another 1,000 to that (5%) plus the fans sitting on the levees and the people in the suites.

Combined I think there was close to 23,000
