Well I can tell you we worked very hard to get an affiliate in Alexandria.

We appreciate the effort but that's a hard market to penetrate. On the way home I can catch 96.9 very well and they always have LSU stuff on. That's awful because their music is usually pretty good. Do we want a presence in Alexandria, the up and coming metropolis that flopped?

We need to voice our displeasure with the radio people. This is an outright slap in our face and we need to all stop listening to their stations. I would also venture to say lets stop shopping with businesses who advertise on their stations.

this is crazy!!! dont the radio people carry ulm games? but if we boycott then we can't listen to the games!!! i agree that is a slap in the face!!!

Guys, ULM used to have a 5-6 station network around the state in the 90's but that dropped in the early 2000's when the team wasn't doing very good with those 1 and 2 win seasons. Winning gets you the exposure. But I have to admit that a Monroe station carrying UL games is a bit unusual and a little baffling. Of course, it is a 10,000 watt station by day and only 1,000 watt at night. Hardly a blowtorch but still significant. But it's a money thing since they won't be carrying ULM, Tech, or LSU games, I guess.

I can guarantee that no Lafayette station would ever carry a ULM game...unless we're playing UL...even if we won the national championship.

Hey Jay got a quick question for you all these areas that now cover UL football on the radio does that include RCN too and will be able to watch the games on tv as well?

Radio and television are separate. But, to answer your question, the RCN and Cox 4 are available in the Lafayette, Baton Rouge and New Orleans metro markets.
