It's unfortunate that we're not going to get to see him play in the dome, but the long-term effects of this decision are what's important. I think that coach Marlin made the right call.

Coach Marlin's decision was to offer and sign him. What part you missed. Another poor decision by Men's Basketball. At least this time Scott Farmer actually paid attention and stopped it. Too bad Farmer has not investigated some of Marlin's other actions and decision.
Haha Turbine blind admiration is commendable. It was never a fact that he did not agree. It is more the fact that Farmer Never involved himself to ask the first question about things until Kadeem asked for release. Too little too late for way more than you can imagine.
Do you know where Andrews is playing next year?
Hey, Cheap Azz here. I have thought a lot about this while living on my brothers couch and looking for a job that does not require me to work or show up. I find the defections unusual and bothersome, but I wonder if some of it has to do with the fact that their is so much presure to win instantaneously? Who gets 8 years to build a program? He has had basically 1 and 1/2 years and we want a 20 win season. This on top of the fact that no matter how hard you try and press a recruit that you really want, he may go elsewhere. Yes he gets paid the big bucks, but he is not an all powerful god.
Well I'm debating, twinkies or stay on the couch?
I saw that comment before about graduates but really giving Marlin credit for Randell, LaRyan, Travis, Colby, Courtney is a big leap. That Credit goes to Coach Lee. I can.credit him Josh and Scottie, David has not graduated. Even Phillip and Keith go to Coach Lee.
Nobody gets eight years to build a program, and nobody should be expected to have it completed in two seasons. This is his third recruiting class, has loss multiple players every year, and now there are no more mulligans for him. No coach should need five years to turn a basketball program around. Three years and you should be on the right track, but Marlin for whatever reasons, or excuses is not yet at that point.
As for not being able to command a kid to come here? Well yea, we get that, but then again that is what distinguishes good recruiters from average ones, the ability to take command.
Because this is his third year and is a rekindling for him he is headed towards asking for patience for not three seasons, but four or more. Not a good sign, and no amount of blaming the players, and N Johnson can change that.
