I totally agree with the talent thing but he didn't really sustain it.

Tillman was his first class when hopes are high and recruiting to the imagination has no barriers. Year one is the easiest year to recruit to and then you have to produce to keep the momentum. Hud style.

Baldwin also brought in Dugas (or was it Stokley) but Bustle got rid of him as an example when I think he could have worked with him. Bustle also took year one recruiting way to easy (only 17 signees in a bare cupboard) and missed out on building a team around Babb.

I agree with you if the momentum keeps going some of Huds players will get drafted higher, and a bunch will get drafted period.

ps Nick Dugas was a Baldwin recruit, still holds the record for most UL receptions in a game "14" 2001

Hard to believe Baldwin had Kyries Hebert to work with as well.

Coaching is so important and can't be overlooked.

I stated this multiple times before if Melvin has a great season, and runs somewhere around 4.4 forty at combine
he will be drafted second round or higher

You can't teach someone to be a 6'3 corner

You are only partially correct, he signed a lot of talent, but many of those players never saw the field because they never became eligible. He did bring in a few good players, but not nearly enough to field a decent team.

The players weren't a bunch of bums, the coach was. They would give up in a second, that's a reflection of the coach not talent level. We also tried to throw the ball 85 times a game. He put more players in the nfl in 3 years than bustle did in 9 years.
