We are a obvious play calling team. We knew what the OC was gonna call and so did FAU. No imagination to overcome the defense. Against Houston I saw HEART and GUTTS playing. Those guys played with intensity. We run the same plays over and over and the defense knows how to defend us. NO end around this time for a big play like in Houston. When our Offensive line can open up holes for the running backs we do have some good runs, but when they are stopped, it is time to do something else. FENROY is the guttest back I have seen in decades. He ran on HEART LAST, breaking tackles to get more, if it had not been for him the offense would have not been in a position to score a field goal.
Maybe the Offensive coordinator learned something this game cause I am sure Troy, Middle, ULM , and ASU did. WE are gonna have to bust our butts to beat these guys now cause play calling like last night won't WIN.

If I offend the cajun loyal by being critical it is because it was a terrible game on national TV. You should have heard the sportscaster on KPLC in Lake Charles, he said" it was the worst game he had ever seen on TV. They hate us but we gave them fuel to blow their hatred UP for our University. He was a boozoo anyway, he had us playing FIU in his annoucements and scoreboard. WHAT A PUTZ. Yes some of us are critical , but 40 years of mediocrity and losing seasons is trying my patience. Not that I will give up on our Team ever. But there is a time when a change is needed and i don't think this guy is the right guy. The Defensive Coordinator who is a friend has really come around. He has made our defense respectible in the conference and the way the held up in Houston was incredible.
SO, if I get critical, it is because I won't stand for MEDIOCRITY anymore. It is time to put up or shut up, no more excuses on the type of players we sign, it is their job to get the best players they can and give them something to work with(meaning good offensive play calling). You can't blame the players for that, only execution of the play, but if the play calling stinks, it is the OC's fault, and not the players, if the players don't execute, then get a player who can and will execute.
Thank you and good night all you DIE-HARDS

    GEAUX CAJUNS.
It has taken you 40 years to get sick of the mediocrity? It has been this long, be patient. People on this board talk and talk and talk so much that they work themselves up too much. When you spend the last three days breaking down every itty bitty aspect of this game and how we will go to the NO Bowl, and we are on the way to the top and going to C-USA, and this and that, it jades your whole perspective on things. The offense had a bad game. "A" bad game. when was the last time that happened? The coaches had a bad game of play calling. It happens. Just becasue its a coach, doesn't mean they aren't learning how to win and get better either. They are trying to learn how to jump on teams, put them away, and when they can't succeed with that, they are trying to learn how to balance how much to alter their gameplan.

I'm not taking up for that garbage last night. It was what it was. But if you've waited this long, wait a little longer. It is one game. This team doesn't seem like the sort to just start rolling over and quit the year. They won, they'll analyze their mistakes this week, and learn form them and beat the ____ out of MTSU

Why is it that anytime somebody expresses disgust with something the team does or the coaches do, you say they aren't a fan. Just because it is not phrased ni a positive way, doesn't mean its not support

Can anyone honestly say that they saw the emotion and energy of any of the previous games.

Our players need to know that they didn't look good. I will be at every game this year cheering them on, but they need to play every one like its the national championship. Our future depends on it.
I totally concur. They flat and stale from the opening kickoff to the end.

    Exactly, that is my point.

If through the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters, you run the ball with Fenroy and Wallace and Babb 35-45 times, not just inside but outside on pitch-outs, options, bootlegs, etc. Get those fat-assed linemen and LBs moving. Make them run. By the 4thQ, you are able to move the ball and soak up the clock. They didn't do that last night and they didn't weren't able to use up any clock.

If you need proof of how this works, see UH game.

I think we're all fans. We all tend to forget where this program was 4-5 short years ago.

This is still a work in progress. We would have lost this game 2 years ago. Last night proves how far we have come in just a few years.

We got a chuckle out of the "turn the corner" post yesterday, but thats what we are still in the process of doing, turning the corner.

I think we'll see a team reminiscent of the Houston game next weekend.

Cajuns are 4-2...when was the last time we could say that?

    Its a good day.

1966? D.amn Jimm, you are old.... As far as worrying about what the dregs of broadcasting(KPLC) have to say about our game....well, thats a whole nother story.

We'll take care of that mess next year, and be done with it.

    4-2, my man!!

And that is a huge difference.

BTW, someone please tell Mike Adams he is my hero.
kate, I too thought we'd have a better showing last night. I was a bit dissappointed right after the game ended, but nobody issues style points for a win.

Kate, we are 4-2....how freakin awesome is that!!!???
