Keeping Score: Cajuns Prove their point.

Ok. So we’re pretty good after all. How was I supposed to know? The Cajuns looked great out there Saturday. They ran well, passed well and defended even better. Eastern Michigan didn’t score until we put in our second-team defense. Now the real test begins. The 4-1 Cougars of the University of Houston will host the Cajuns this weekend. As of Monday, the Cajuns are 17-point dogs. Are you kidding? I’m sure Houston is a fine ball-club, but 17. We just smoked a decent Eastern Michigan team who is better than their record indicates. Look for the Cajuns to make a statement to the Sun Belt Conference. This weekend is our fall break, so go to Houston. It’s like four hours away. Get a couple buddies together, load up your mom’s station wagon or mini-van, gas up the tank and hit I-10. Wear something red and go cheer on the Cajuns; they will need it.
