Winthrow Commits to Louisiana

West Jefferson High (La) Offensive Lineman D’Aquin Winthrow (6’5, 275) made a decision to commit to Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns this afternoon. Winthrow was holding three FBS offers but decided that UL was the best fit for his future in college football..

---And maybe not offering as many so soon in the year---Hitting on all cylinders at this time----WE go into homes with the BOWL win, the 30K average---The IPF----the City of Lafayette---A pretty damn good record----enthusiastic assistant coaches----and what's his name the head coach---A rapidly beautified campus and state of the art housing with more to come---EVEN MORE athletic facilities coming (See recruits statements)----A great academic environment for athletes------Hey give me that stuff to sell----What do they use against us---an old stadium (can't see it filled with fans)----Not in CUSA (So we play them and beat them)----La Tech and UL coaches will leave if we have continued success (so will all coaches at all schools)---Saban left LSU!!!! Shame on us if we are not the #2 recruiting force in this state ---Also starting to move into Texas, Florida, Alabama, and have owned parts of Mississippi!!!!

Well that may be good, or not. I have heard that we accepted several commitments too soon last season, and ended up taking a few people that we might have passed on at the end of the season.

I gotta admit that I am pleased with the players listed so far. I strongly believe that if Hud took some too soon last year, he will only be accepting those prospects he truly wants this year.

I guess I should have added that we have 5 in spite of the fact that we are purposely holding back on offering. More kids want to come/be here...and in spite of being more selective, we are getting commitments.
