Good for Jesse, I am glad he has landed a new gig. In spite of what many would say, we had some fun times in the Cajun Dome while Jesses was here. I am not sure how Jesses would do as a HC here now with the APR to contend with, but during his time he got some really good athletic players. He used the tranfer rules as they were written then. His teams were always fun to watch.
Best Jesse era memory; My wife and I attended the Conference tournament at WKU when the Cajuns won it. Watching "the thugs" cut down the nets at Diddle was priceless.
Agreed, Fish. They even saved a piece for me to cut down that night. The fact it happened at Diddle was choice. It would only have been better had we beaten WKU that night instead of UNO.
Although beating UNO was good, too. LOL
It definitely would have better if it had been the Hilltoppers, but it was also fun watching the horrified (very few) WKU fans who attended the games after the Hilltoppers were eliminated.
The attitude of those fans was like "we are bewildered, I thought we were supposed to win this thing."
Talk about some miserable fans...
BTW, One of the players threw me a little piece of the net that night. It is still around somewhere.
Great memory
