The bad thing for Houston is that UL probably brought 5,000 and it was band night with several high school bands & their parents accounting for about 3,000. Doesn't leave too much for Houston to call their own.........:confused:Originally Posted by shasta
Also, in the Houston paper they keep trying to say that Houston gave away the game........Those of us that were there know that the Cajuns EARNED IT!!!!!
After living in Texas for two months, I've come to learn that Texans have an issue with pride. So, of course they're going to say that UH blew the game, its impossible for them to give credit where credit is due. But, I was there in person, and it was great to see them get humbled!Originally Posted by RedBug58
Unfortunately, I couldn't make the game, but listened to every second on the radio.
Have to admit that I was worried after we got down 21-0.
What a remarkable come from behind win. The guts and heart that this team has showed over the last 2 years is amazing.
I said earlier in the week that if we won this game it would be the biggest win in UL history, even bigger than the Texas A&M game in 1995, and I stand by that. As of today, IT IS THE BIGGEST WIN IN PROGRAM HISTORY. However, it is very important that we stay within ourselves and continue to play well throughout the rest of the season. We must continue to carry the momentum through the rest of the season and into years to come so that the win continues to be the biggest win in school history.
Thank you Coach Bustle and staff and all of the Ragin Cajuns!!!!
Texans' aires of superiority... a constant reminder that the difference between a coona** and a dumbass is the Sabine River...a whole nuther country indeed...Originally Posted by bigguill
I dreamt the Cajuns spotted the Cougars twenty-one points and came back to win the game. It was the most wonderful dream ever, I can't begin to describe it.
I had the same one last night in Houston.Originally Posted by AboveAverage
I couldnt make it either but when I saw the final score on the news I almost jumped on the bar at Bocats.
It had to be between 4k and 5k. We sounded like 20k! I was a little disappointed that Houston fans did't show up that well, considering their hot start. They have an enrollment that rivals LSU, but being a commuter school, they don't have the comparable following. It was a whole lotta fun.Originally Posted by Sid
They charged $7... but they did open the can for ya and pour it in a cheap cup. That is shameless profit taking... and I was a good consumer. The guy lugging the beer around in the stands didn't have the same style as our cotton candy guy... I think our guy would get rich selling beer in the stands at Cajun Field (in a single season).Originally Posted by RedBug58
