I'm glad yall all enjoyed the post, I was afraid that it was too long, but after rereading it myself, it seems just perfect to pull you through the whole gamut of emotions. I'm just very glad that I was able to make it to see this game.

    Now on to FAU,

    Default Injuries?

Does anyone know how we're looking injury wise after this game? I know I saw two DB's down at some point during the game, and I wasnt sure how severe their injuries were.

Trust me, I was on the sidelines. I've never heard our fans that loud at an away game, not even in Monroe last year. On our last drive, we we kept getting first downs in the red zone, our fans went NUTS. From the sidelines, I could hear the roar as if I was at Cajun Field. I'll say this, YOU GUYS WERE THE 12TH MAN!!!!!!!

For HC, when Middle Tenn. comes to town, let's make Cajun Field the place to be. Let's make the roar we did up in Houston. As it is stated in the fight song, "you will hear the rage of the Cajuns so let's give a yell" let's give a LOUD yell in a few weeks for our next home game.

I couldn't be any prouder right now as a Cajun fan. Not to mention, I loved hearing excuses from all of my LSU buddies at school today.

    THE WINNING BEGINS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's not look underestimate them like Houston did to us. Even though the Houston game was one of the biggest wins this program has ever seen, a blunder on national television against a not-so-great FAU team will be a HUGE step back. Let's keep rollin', but also keep our eyes right in front us...

Your right as confident as I am that we can really get on a roll, we have to take everyone seriously and not overlook anyone.

I dont think anyone is saying to overlook them, in fact, I think due to last years debacle, we focus twice as much and we beat the crap out of them.

Bustle said at Pete's tonight that there were no new injuries. Plus we should get Kees & Fisher back by next game. Not sure about Risher.

He said it was very important to get Fisher back as it would make the line stronger.

This Houston game is great since it comes on the cusp of getting this program's return notched up another level. I would still like to see where this Houston team goes this season. I would like for them to prove themselves worthy of the initial 4-0 and 1pt Miami loss. How Houston does from here on puts this game, as far as critics go, in a certain perspective. However, it is huge for this program right now. And as far as I am concerned, right now is what I deal with.

I also believe this Houston game is more significant in one respect. It will have a larger impact on our recruiting than that A&M game did. Our potential recruits in the east Texas and Houston area have to consider this, if we keep it going. We are up against CUSA in many recruiting battles, and last season, a good finish to this season, and this win cannot do anything but help recruiting... and winning... and attendance... and revenues... and not necessarily in that order. Those relationships are a nested web of dependent structures.

    Keep Geauxing Cajuns!!!!!!
    Very well put!

Congrats on the win, LA has a lot of pride and no quit in them. I knew LA was better than the score indicated in our game with them, our strength just happens to be against the run.

UH was making a lot of noise in the Houson media about how they could beat Big 12 teams and they are a better team than us. You guys coming in and showing your the better team than UH will quiet the Coogs up.

I dont know if it makes you guys happy but you just made recruiting Houston a whole lot easier for us.

Anyway congrats on the win you guys are scrappy, have quality fans, and a quality program. Good luck the rest of the way.
Thanks for the nice comments, BVA! I went to the game at Kyle Field a few years ago and enjoyed the atmosphere. The Aggie fans were very cordial. I'm sorry we played such a sorry game there this year. It was, apparently, by far the Aggies' best game this year. Best of luck luck to you guys the rest of the year!

  10. UL Football UL campus still buzzing

It may have been a Monday, but UL's football team was still welcoming all its friends to the party that never ends.

"Since we got back, there's been a buzz around the school," said senior defensive tackle Marshall Delesdernier. "It hasn't been like that for a while."

The Ragin' Cajuns hadn't had a win like its storybook 31-28 victory at Houston in a while.

"When we got back Saturday, a couple of us decided to go and be a little social," Delesdernier said. "People recognized us, and they were slapping hands, hugging us, enjoying it with us. We don't do that after a loss."

The Cajuns also haven't had that losing experience in almost a month, and will ride a three-game winning streak into an extended week of preparation for the Sun Belt Conference opener. That one comes on Wednesday, Oct. 18, in a 6:30 p.m. (CDT) ESPN2-televised contest at Florida Atlantic.
