It's WAY MORE fun on the student side! We actually yell...well some of us do! I've been out of school for almost 6 years now, and I still rather sit on that side!Originally Posted by gridiron

I am excited about the win I had us down with a loss, but Houston has no history so I can't call it the greatest win.
Thanks I don't know why I thought that, must be getting old.Originally Posted by mickzat
Wow, you should really check it out. It's by far the best place to watch the game.Originally Posted by shasta

Yeah, and the 21 the Cajuns gave up early were because of mistakes on their part. Silly coach-speak. You lost because you're high flying offense spent too much time on the bench, and your defense spent too much time on the field. Partly because the Cajuns managed the clock, and partly because Houston has two or three play scoring drives. It seems to me that these schemes either result in blowout wins or heartbreaking losses, and rarely win championships.
I was there in 1992... when we lost 63-7... and the game was not really that close...Originally Posted by Sanchez

Finally someone else that agrees with me. A road win against a good team. An amazing comeback. A final drive where they knew what we wanted to do and still couldn't stop it. Definitely a game to remember, but still not the greatest game. I may change my mind if it proves to be a turning point, but I still think the aTm win was bigger.Originally Posted by Sanchez
The aTm win was over a team that we would NEVER beat. A real goliath. I've always thought we could beat Houston, just as we have beaten Tulane a number of times. Frankly, we beat them twice previously, though not recently. We came within a TD in 2003 and in 1996. In fact, we had the lead in 1996 before they ran Antowain Smith down our throats for about 8 straight plays to take the win on the last drive of the game.
Outside of the bias of this message board there is more evidence. As far as I noticed, this win has gotten very little national press compared to the aTm win. This win did not have near the shock value that the aTm win did.
Outstanding broadcast of the Houston game. You made it special. Next best thing to being there. Well, technically listening to you and watching on gameplan would have been the next best thing. CSTV, which has a deal with CUSA, carried the Sam Houston game. Their loss. The lighting in that stadium was so bad, you could barely see what was going on. They would have been better off switching to night vision, except for the part where both teams are green.

Jay's excitment was evident and matched the game, Steve was more low keyed, nothing like the day after the Astros, Mavericks or Saints win big games.
