Everyone is seeming to forget the decade of missery after the Tex. a&m win. Obviously, if we fall on our face the rest of this season, then the Houston game means nothing, but if we roll from here on out, the Houston game will always be remembered as the turning point in the direction and future of the program.
And I agree with you. After the tamu victory our program took a downward spiral. This was very unfortunate because once that happened, the win over tamu was viewed more as a fluke win or that tamu just fell apart. In this game UL came out the second half and just flat out wanted the win more than Houston. Especially when you consider that had the game ended with UL down by 5 the loss would have been blamed on the officials for that ridiculous fumble challenge. Despite that crazy and bogus call, UL still battled their way back to a win. That says alot about a team, their desire and will to win, and their coaching staff. Houston, had they ran the table, would have been a top 25 team. When you beat a midmajor team that's well on their way to having BCS talent on their roster, it says much much more about your team than one win over TAMU. It shows that your program is on the rise, your team has more confidence, and if we do well in the sbc this year, it will show that the program is starting to pull away from the rest of the competition in the SBC. That speaks volumes for national attention. We just have to be patient.

by downward spiral, i didn't mean necessarily that year. I was referring more to the next few years.

UL Football UL vs. Houston Gameday Audio Available?

Is there any possible way to get a copy of the ESPN 1420 game broadcast. Whether it's a cassette or even better an audio file. I would be willing to pay for it. I was at the game and it was awesome, but I would love to have heard Jay calling the action. If anyone has any info for me I would really appreciate it.

Would have been nice to be on ESPN2. LSU fans could have watched a real game.

In my view this was an epic win, especially with Houston going into the game eyeballing an 11 win season.

Earlier in the week I thought this was a game UL could win, I was NOT brave enough to out and out predict it, though I think I stated it somewhere. Still I must say when Houston jumped out early I wasn't thinking win I was thinking of playing better for respectablity sake.

I sure am glad I m not coaching. These players never quit.

    GEAUX-CAJUNS
Felt the same way. Just be respectable this time....Live in BR,went out to car after I saw score at bottom of TN-GA game. set off the alarm when it was over. WIfe thought I was nuts... She's right!!!!!

Really dissapointed to hear nothing but LSU calls this morning on the radio. I'm hoping that it's just that the UL fans are still to exhausted from the game to be up that early. I'm in class so I can't listen, but I sure hope that Jay's show is flooded with UL fans calling in to celebrate.
