I wish I was kidding but that's what I hear. I hope to God it's not true but I have a bad feeling it is. What a sad story if it turns out to be true!

If it was missing a meeting (like has been reported) than 2 games is more than enough of a punishment. Until there is something confirmed though, all we have to go on is what has been reported, and what has been reported only deserves a 2 game sentence. End of story

Sorry buddy, but with a post like that, and as much as Southall could do for this team, you're gonna get much more than just a yes or no. I wish you wouldn't be so darn pessimistic. Show some faith in your team. Many things are out of our control, but fan confidence, faith in, and support of a team can help them get through the season and sometimes, IMO, affect the outcome. A positive outlook and environment among fans can only improve the chances of the team doing good. While you're at it, would you feel comfortable telling Southall what you think, or would you honestly feel better about yourself and the team if you told him (or wrote him a letter) encouraging him to do well and work hard. I have a feeling the only thing you'd have the courage to say and would even want to say would be the latter. While I cannot predict the future, I think he will finish out the season. Of course with any player on the team, there is always a chance of something happening, and given Southall's past, we might tend to give him a higher chance of screwing. But, with the way Coach Lee is, and with people over-reacting and getting their panties twisted over a simple little suspension for being late to a meeting, I say he does good and finishes out. In fact, I say had Coach Lee not suspended him for this simple infraction, THEN, the likelihood of your pessimistic prediction would be much higher.

I agree SID, we as fans need to be backers not hackers. The only people that should be hacking on Southal is opponets not fans. I have complete confidence in the General and his staff, they will keep the players in line!! Coach Lee has already kicked off a couple of players this season and I am sure he does not want to do it again, but if it is necessary he will!!!

Will Southall remain one of the best two players on the team and finish first team All Sunbelt? YES

Will Southall make hundreds of thousands a year, possibly millions, to play basketball in NBA or Europe for the years to come after this season? YES

Will you be jealous and upset about this? YES

Will you be able to uncork your "Isn't it great that Southall is kicked off team and may not be able to support very well his family now; I told you so" champagne bottle? NO
