    For real?

    I wasn't aware of this.

    So he wasn't smoking.

So just because he passed a drug test after going the wrong way on a one way street makes him an honorable citizen? Thanks for clarifying that for me..

With that said, you guys will be the joke of the conference if this guy is returned to the Ragin' Cajuns. He has had plenty of chances to get his act together and could not do it.

Your coach will lose a lot of respect if he allows Southall to play. It will look like an act of desperation on his part to win at all costs.
I've lost alot respect for posters on the HillBilly Heaven a long time back. I really don't care who you like or dislike, as long as we spank you at home once again.

I, for one, trust Coach Lee to not do anything that would be an embarrassment to the university or bad for team chemistry. So if he says its ok for Southall to return, good by me. End of story.

So, if I'm understanding this correctly, Southall is back in school, passing his classes, AND drug free. So let him play. I'll still be at the games cheering for the Cajuns, no matter who is on the court.

I understand both sides of the arguement, but here's my thing. If the guy's passing his classes (with A's no less), is drug free, and both his coaches and fellow players feel he should be allowed back on the team (he wouldn't be if they didn't think so) then I've got no problem with it. Yeah, people like some WKU fans will be "laughing in our faces." Laughing all the way to a Sun Belt 3-peat, I say.

When you have a talent like Southall who fights his way back, you've got to let him back if the rest of the team feels he's earned it. If they do and he keeps this progress up, he'll be back and we'll be better for it. If he fails along the way, then it's his fault, we'll be fine even without him, and as far as I know that will be it for his elligibility so we'll officially be done with him. For the sake of the program, I'm hoping that he comes back and proves the doubters wrong (even though they have ample reason to hate on the guy).

I wouldnt trust Coach Lee that much hes taking this goon and putting him back on the team. And yes it is an embarrassement plain and simple.

    How?

To me this has all the makings of an incredible human interest success story.

If the turnaround fades at least we can say we tried, tried, and tried again.

However in the mean time there is no shame in trying, when if at first you didn’t succeed . . .

Oh Mineshaft, Mineshaft. I see under your name "Louisiana is #1". You can disagree with Coach Lee all you want, but Good Lord man, you can show a little more support for UL and make the best of the situation. You can't do anything about it. And yes, it's an embarassment " plain and simple" in how you are acting like someone 50 miles east of here in your posts.

You made a statement insinuating that MS was smokin dope...you got shut down. Do not try to save face by trying to infer a meaning (passing the drug test makes him an honorable citizen) behind the post that shut you down.

Anyway, you seem to be casting quite a few stones. What is your basis for these accusations that you are so nonchalantly throwing around, such as the whole team being on drugs last year? Who are you to cast judgment on these people?

    Some more questions for mineshaft-
What is your beef with MS?...Do you know him personally?...Did he kick your ~~~~~?...Did he make fun of you?......Or, do you just have a large object crammed up in there?

    Truth-
The other posters are right. The potential payoff is great. If he screws up, it is more of a stain on him than the school. I know I'll be in the stands going wild if/when MS is thunder dunkin all over the place. We do not need people with your attitude in the stands. If MS is truly making an effort, qualifies academically and seems to be serious, I say give him a shot. If he screws up, cut him, "plain and simple."

    Reccomendations-
Mineshaft, if your true attitude is reflected by your posts, don't come to the games. STAY HOME. Hell, you can catch up with your cross-stitching, crocheting, or soufflee-making. You can even play charades with your cat or reorganize your socks or whatever it is that you do in your free time. Next time you post such accusations, include some factual support. If that ever happens, I will consider taking you a little more seriously...~~~~~ clown. If you truly are a Cajun fan...which is very questionable...shut up and support the team.
