Its time to let Southall go for good. Cant help someone who doesnt want to help himself? He only let himself down.

    Time to move on!

  2. UL Basketball Greene, Southall ruled out

Cajuns still holds out hope for transfer Dwayne Mitchell.

LOUISIANA La. — The beginning of the week for the UL men’s basketball team got off to a good start.

They received news that senior forward Chris Williams and junior forward Cedric Williams had regained their eligibility.

But on Thursday, the Ragin’ Cajuns suffered a major blow when it was revealed that juniors center Michael Southall and guard Orien Greene were academically ineligible for the rest of the season.

Efforts to reach head coach Jessie Evans for comment on the development were unsuccessful.

The 6-10 242-pound Southall, was named to the All-Sun Belt Conference team for both the 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 seasons, along with being named to the 2002 Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team, while being named the Sun Belt Freshman of the Year for the 2001-2002 season.

Don't count the Cajuns out. Southall and Green are gone, good riddens. If they would have taken care of their business they wouldn't be in this situation. They have been given multiple second chances and blew it so i feel no compassion for them. We need to focus on the positive future of our Cajun team and forget about those other fools......for now. The game against Dayton was a testament to this teams heart and determination. Those six guys showed that they want to win and are willing to do whatever it takes to do so. With the addition of the Williams' and the two freshmen James and Mouton I'm confident we will contend for the Sunbelt title.

    Geaux Cajuns!

Im not excited about a Cajuns sport.

    Yes I mean Basketball.

The fans have been let down, by Jessie.

    Its totally on his shoulders.

He should never have let this happen.

Please help me get pumped for the early season.

The fans have been let down by MICHAEL SOUTHALL!! All he had to do was go to class, take some notes, and pass a few exams. But NOOOOOOOOOOO, he just wanted to play bassaball!! I fault Jessie for not getting rid of this @$$hole LAST YEAR and warning the rest of the team against adopting his attitude!!!!!
