I am a WKU fan and I must admit that I am impressed by the fact that the majority of your posters would be embarrassed by Southall's return.

With that said, you guys will be the joke of the conference if this guy is returned to the Ragin' Cajuns. He has had plenty of chances to get his act together and could not do it.

Your coach will lose a lot of respect if he allows Southall to play. It will look like an act of desperation on his part to win at all costs.

I've lost alot respect for posters on the HillBilly Heaven a long time back. I really don't care who you like or dislike, as long as we spank you at home once again.

I, for one, trust Coach Lee to not do anything that would be an embarrassment to the university or bad for team chemistry. So if he says its ok for Southall to return, good by me. End of story.

So, if I'm understanding this correctly, Southall is back in school, passing his classes, AND drug free. So let him play. I'll still be at the games cheering for the Cajuns, no matter who is on the court.

I understand both sides of the arguement, but here's my thing. If the guy's passing his classes (with A's no less), is drug free, and both his coaches and fellow players feel he should be allowed back on the team (he wouldn't be if they didn't think so) then I've got no problem with it. Yeah, people like some WKU fans will be "laughing in our faces." Laughing all the way to a Sun Belt 3-peat, I say.

When you have a talent like Southall who fights his way back, you've got to let him back if the rest of the team feels he's earned it. If they do and he keeps this progress up, he'll be back and we'll be better for it. If he fails along the way, then it's his fault, we'll be fine even without him, and as far as I know that will be it for his elligibility so we'll officially be done with him. For the sake of the program, I'm hoping that he comes back and proves the doubters wrong (even though they have ample reason to hate on the guy).

To me this has all the makings of an incredible human interest success story.

If the turnaround fades at least we can say we tried, tried, and tried again.

However in the mean time there is no shame in trying, when if at first you didn’t succeed . . .
