I have to admit that I was never a fan of Brad's play; I thought he was a quick trigger and was aiming for an individual scoring total rather than making a better team play. I'm done knocking the guys...I'm just going to patiently wait for the season to start, buy my tickets, and heckle the hell out of the visiting team.
What kind of shape is Southall in? I haven't seen him in a couple years. I'll bet that he's a little bulkier now. I just keep thinking "how the heck is any opponent going to get a rebound with Cameron & Southall underneath?? We may flat out destroy some teams. This could be fun...............

What was his assist average? I never said anything about hating the guy, I don't know him. What was his fg%? There were many games where he surprised me, but to be a complete player and to not take so many ill conceived shots at poor times...He is a smart player, but in college he didn't seem to flick that shot at the best times. The fault could have fallen on the coach; Boyd may have been given the green light by Evans, i.e. Tiras and Lee. I never talked to Evans to find out. If the fault falls on the coach, then Boyd wasn't used properly and neither were the two big men (Southall/Cameron). Our success in those days rode quite a bit on talent, they looked disorganized at times (Hamilton and Antoine Landry saved our AS"""). I'm a huge cajun basketball fan and a fan of traditional play, Lee seems to enforce the discipline and skills needed to play the right way. If Southall plays, we'll see him hustle a hell of a lot more and not loaf down the court after a made basket. Southall's improved composure will be obvious, if he plays. Just my opinion...we're all entitled to one.

All I know is Even though Bridges got the Steal and made the Pass it was Boyd's Assist that made this Dunk happen. Excitement? I have never seen anything like it and probably never will again.

    Video of S.P.A.D.E play.

    Thanks Boyd

    Good point!

I do feel coach is playing with fire, but as long as he can control that fire no one will remember this! I support the General and his staff as well as, the entire Ragin Cajun Athletic Coaching staff and as long as they are winning by not cheating, buying players, who am I to judge!
