If Mike satisfies Coach Lee's requirements (which I am sure are not soft ones) of being worthy to be a part of the basketball program, then I will support him while remaining wary.

If Mike is back, making his grades & following Coach Lee's requirements, he could be focused for the first time. Can you imagine what a focused & motivated Michael Southall could do!! Man, I may not miss a game this year!
I may even buy USL Jim's season tickets!
I'll NEVER welcome back Southall to this team. He has screwed multiple times in his college career. Him coming back to the basketball program would be just as much a black eye for the university as the 1970s Death Penalty for the program.
Hummmmmm, Ok....Rebel...Originally Posted by Rebel02

I saw Southall at the mall Saturday and forgot just how big this kid is. I welcome him back if he clears all of Coach Lee's requirements!!
You guys need to understand who is under the gun here....if Mike does mess up again, who takes the blame and responsibility??--Mike and The General. If he does great and this team reaches the Sweet 16 or beyond, who get the glory and the compliments??--Mike, his teammates, AND THE GENERAL. Do you guys have anything to lose from this? You wont lose your job over this situation. Another aspect...name me a team in the Belt, or the entire NCAA, that has TWO 7'0"ers,(Cameron 6'11" respectively). If you can do that, name TWO that are better than Mike and Chris?? Cant do it!! They dont come around very often. Keep on saying that you wont have season tickets, cause come January/Febuary you will be in line with the rest of the bandwagoners. By the time March rolls around it wont even be a discussion whether or not he should have been on the team. Lets leave the coaching and decision making to the professionals, and leave the supporting to the supporters. Just a taste for you...7'0", 6'11", 6'9", 6'7", 6'5".........thats not very easy to guard, especially the First 2. GET ON THE BUS!!!
Hey, I guess you guys would sell your souls for wins. As for support, I support the Alumni , the UL Baseball, UL softball, Football, UL athletic Foundation , and united cajuns. So, don't tell me about support. I have been supporting this University since 1966, so don't talk to me about SUPPORT.
Hell, I did a lot of stupid things when I went to UL and after I graduated. I drank and smoked more than my share. I was really immature and really did not think about the consequences. If there was party, I was there. I went to class so hungover I could not see. But I was a short, slow, fat guy with no athletic talent. Nobody cared as long as I paid tuition and made my grades. I'm sure that if I'd been a 6'10" ballplayer I would have not gone unnoticed and would have been under a lot more scrutiny. I hope Michael Southall matures quicker than I did and can put his gift to work for both him and the Ragin' Cajuns.
Coach Lee is much closer to this situation than anyone on here and if he determines that Southall should be let back on the team I support him 100%. I do not consider it selling our soul for wins when a guy has earned his way back on to the team.
By the Way--Tiras has found out that the agent he had was not registered and he therefore is eligible to play for the Cajuns next year----NOT---Damn what a waste!!!!!!!Originally Posted by Clutch0364
