Especially since we are starting to get a little depth on the O-line, so they can stay a little fresher, and because we have 3 or 4 RBs and 2 QBs (not that we will be using them both) that we can insert and always have somebody fresh and hungry pushing it down their throats. Their QB was already benched this year for his play, so if the defnese performs well and our CBs can pick it up, then there is no reason why we should win be 3 or 4 touchdowns.
Man, whoever posted this is a genius!

At the very least by going into the game you give your memory a better anchor to remember the day by.

ps let me tell you the ones who did both had a whole lot to talk about during session 2 of the UL vs EMU tailgating experience.

    My 2 cents.

At 4pm, there is simply too much daylight left in the day for some people to stop having fun tailgating. There are A LOT of people that tailgate that really don't care about Cajun football. Getting these people in the stadium would require a NAME opponent or a 7pm kickoff, or both.

We've already changed the rules in that you have to have season tickets to rent a tailgate spot. Why not go one step further and require that in order to keep that tailgating spot you actually have to attend the game.

This would be the only way to put an end to the current problem.

Also, THOUSANDS of people left at halftime. Their tickets were re-scanned when they left. Were they not counted?

Usually, rescanning your ticket signals to the computer that the ticket is leaving the stadium, that way people can't slip tickets to someone outside the stadium through the fence. However, since some of the scanners weren't working when people went in, I'm sure that some of those people leaving were having their tickets scanned for the first time. I'm not sure the exact number of people but I agree with an earlier post that there was probably 3-4 thousand more people at this game than last game.

No Turbine I didn't see anyone around.

Can you imagine what we would have had in the stands if all those tailgater who tailgated would have attended the game. This is the first year I leave at half time to go back to my tent and return for the second half. Upon leaving the stadium I was shocked to see all the people still tailgating and not going to the game. If it were up to me I'd go around every tailgating spot and take a picture and put tailgating spot to the picture and evaluate whether they should be granted a tailgating spot for next year. LET's face it a lot of people are their to tailgate and not support the Cajuns. You are not supporting the Cajuns by JUST tailgating, you are supporting the Cajuns by buying tickets and attending the game. Some tailgating spots have as many as 2- 50 people at them. Only 2 to 4 season tickets are required to be purchased per spot yet 20-50 people are at each spot , good for show but , as I say, if you don't go to the game you ain't HELPING OUR UNIVERSITY.
Please encourage people to go to the game and party before and after the game.

It was a great game indeed. Bustle is a respectable coach and he pulled the starters to allow them to rest up and not get injured.

It was just so nice to see 33 - 0 on the scoreboard and you wanted to leave Cajun Field with a shutout, but it's good that our second and third string defense is getting some game time. Maybe later in the season we are winning 35 - 0 and the game experience helps us hold a shutout.

Two weeks back to back we have kept the opposition scoreless through 3 quarters. Cajun football is HERE!

We have a big game coming up this weekend! Houston is tough.

  10. UL Football Ragin' Cajuns right at .500, just as predicted

After all the early lows and the recent highs, UL’s football squad is right where everybody expected them to be through the first month of the season.
Only the most optimistic or the most pessimistic didn’t have the Cajuns penciled in at 2-2 going into October. Nobody predicted or expected wins in the opening games at LSU and Texas A&M, and everybody figured on a win last week against North Carolina A&T.

Only Saturday’s Eastern Michigan game was close to a toss-up, with the Cajuns installed as an eight-point betting-line favorite, and they more than made that stand up in a 33-14 victory that wasn’t that close.

For Cajun fans, the best part of the September roller-coaster is that the Cajuns go into their second month playing at their peak. With a surprisingly-strong Houston team coming up next weekend and conference play beginning with a Wednesday night, Oct. 18, game at Florida Atlantic, UL enters the mid-season stretch off its best overall performance since last season.
