LOUISIANA La. - Each week Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns football coaching staff honors its outstanding performers from the previous week’s game by designating them as Players of the Week.

The Offensive Player of the Game for this past week was sophomore running back Tyrell Fenroy. He had 104 yards on 14 carries (7.4 yards per rush), including a four-yard touchdown run which capped off the Cajuns’ scoring in the first half against North Carolina A&T.

Saturday’s performance was Fenroy’s sixth 100-yard game of his career, moving him one shy of the school’s all-time record by running backs.

The Defensive Player of the Game was junior defensive tackle Korey Raymond. He tallied a team-high four tackles, all solo stops. The tackle total was Raymond’s highest output of the season.

The Special Forces Players of the Game were Jason Chery and Abdule Levier.

Chery, a starting wide receiver, blocked a punt that was returned for a touchdown – the game’s first score – giving the Cajuns a quick 6-0 lead before the offense hit the field. He also had three solo tackles on special teams.

Levier, a running back, registered three tackles on special teams working on kickoff coverage. He made solo stops on all three UL kickoffs in the second quarter.

The Offensive Scout Team Players of the Week were Luke Aubrey and Matt Dupre. The Defensive Scout Team Players of the Week were Terrell Richardson and Daylon McCoy.

The Hammer Award for biggest hit on defense was shared by Hall Davis and Keith Talamo.
