tailgating

ok ive been tailgating at cajuns games for the last 4 years. me and my friends have always tailgated by the fence on the corner of congress and bertrand across from where the golden wok is located. this is the first year i have seen that many people tailgating that early in the day. they even put lines out there against the fence, so i must ask of you guys who are more an the know than i am, are they charging for tailgating way out there like i suppose they do to be near all the activities, and if so is there a place for casual tailgaters to enjoy an hour or so of tailgating before the game without having to pay something

We paid for the chunk of land around the Oak Tree. We were told that they were probably going to start charging for the rest of the area along the fence on a first come, first serve basis.
