It all comes down to the food.
If its good people will go.
If its bad people will not go.

They could have UL Monroe plastered all over the wall. If the food is great im there.

When UL fans create a demand for all things UL then such businesses will open until then point the fingers at ourselves.
If Lafayette LSU fans can't eat at a good restaurant, that has UL decor (only), something is very wrong with them. A Mexican restaurant might have Mexican decor to please Mexican patrons (and may attract the local Mexican community) but most people that aren't of Mexican descent aren't going to boycott it. There is no reason all of Lafayette shouldn't attend a good Lafayette restaurant even if it is head to toe in UL gear.

I go to LSU restaurants in Baton Rouge, not to admire the LSU gear, but to enjoy the food, service and atmosphere. It is also silly not to have Ragin Cajun fans fired up about a UL sports bar or restaurant in Lafayette. We should also demand they have good food and service. These little pinheads posting anti-UL remarks are little pockmarks on the ___ of Lafayette and you guys should take a big dump on them every chance you get.

That may be pushing things a little too far.

I went to the Maurice location one time, and was with my dad, sister, brother-in-law, and 3 infants. The wait staff seemed aggravated the entire time, and God forbid we ask for extra crackers to keep the little ones entertained as we waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive. When it did finally get to our table, every single order was wrong, and most of the food was cold (not room temperature cold, refridgerator cold). Well, since we had already asked to talk to the manager about the attitudes of the wait staff and length of time to receive our food, when we talked to the manager for the 2nd time (could have been the owner, but with all of the people here saying what a nice guy he is, I would think it was not him), he started blaming us for being "complainers". And then it got really out of hand. This jack_____ ended up challenging my brother-in-law to a fight in the parking lot!! Needless to say, this was the worst dining experience I've ever had (if you can call it that since nobody actually ate more than a bite or two before realizing our food was ice cold). So like I said, there is no way in hell I'll ever enter that establishment.
This without the fighting part is almost exactly the same issue we had. They had four girls plus the hostes sittin gon their butts the entire time we were there. The only one working on the floor was the waiter we had & when he got his sixth table he just pretty much forgot about us. The misses & I ordered an appetizer & they brought it without any plates to serve from. We asked for plates & they never brought them. They never asked if we wanted another drink after fifteen minutes. We ordered Entrees with salads & they never brought our salads. When they brought the entrees I asked about the salads & the girl who brought thre entrees from the kitchen acted shocked. She sent the manager over who told us they would give us two dollars off the menu. I explained that that wasn't the point. We would really have appreciated our salads while we waited for fifty minutes for the meal. She then said we didn't need to make a big deal about it, which we weren't but then began to. The entree probably would have been decent had the fried food not sat undera hot light for at least half an hour. I ended up eating about three bites of a seafood platter. I had to chase the waiter down to get a ticket 7 when we asked for a doggy bag they were so put out, I just left the damn thing there when we walked out. We were there for an hour & a half & had a miserable experience. I want a pro UL place to succeed, but I damn sure don't owe them a living because they have UL gear hanging in the place. You represent what you believe by the way you treat those who come to visit. You sure as hell treat people better than we were treated when we went there when you're making a living in the hospitality business. i don't like having to write a poor review about these people, but they just aint gonna make it with that attitude & that's a fact.

I know a guy who got himself fired from Bennigans the week they opened, for bringing out the entrees before the salad.

Man I wanted that job bad.
