Season ticket Sales up over 1,200+ over last year!! This is great Gerald says but we need to get over 15,000+!!

We will be looked at by other conferences one day by our Suport from season ticket sales, attendance, and Donars both Major and minor. We will be looked on by our overall dominance of the conference! We still have aways to go and NEED everyone to that is still in the 'show me something first mode, to get out of it and come aboard as these individuals that wait are actually holding us back!!!

    W. Kentucky has a huge budget thanks in part to the Student Fees( DaddyCajun says to write your LA Legislature and have the state give the schools the choice to raise the fees and NOT be held back by legislation at our state level!!

Dr A has really stepped up in that he has paid for some major projects:

New lights at Lamson Lady Cajun Park and upgraded lights at Baseball Tigue
New Bleachers at The Tigue $500,000
    Track/Soccer Complex $1.4 Million
Parking and road resurfacing at Complex over $200,000
Limestone $200,000 portion of parking at Cajun Field
    Lady Cajun Basketball Floor $100,000(approx)

Camps for ALL sports can be held inside the Indoor Facility if needed.

Examples of stepping up: Eddie Begnaud and Cliff Guidry have donated time and money to Lamsons Lady Cajun Park in providing New Dugouts, new brick fencing down 1st and 3rd base line and 4 new batting cages.

Mr. Domingue out of Abbeville built Two new Towers for the practice fields for football.

NOT said today is a local company is building new Football goal post for the practice field.

If an item or MONEY is desired to go to a certain sport, it will and it DOES, 100%!!

Football practice fields have a new sprinkler system, turtle backed the new one, and also lights have been put up at the practice field and around the parking complex to help with dark spots during events.

    NUMBER ONE PRIORITY:
Two Major donations are coming aboard in which part will go to complete the fundraising that is needed to DOUBLE THE SIZE OF THE WEIGHT ROOM!!!!

Remainder of Football scoreboard will be painted with the Automotive quality paint to help prevent fading! This will Start today.

The 6 retired #'s will be put back up Thursday and Gerald says this will be very impressive!! Donated by Ads in Motion and Fun Jumps!!!

Skybox plans have been drawn(as well as Baseball stadium plans/DaddyCajun)but monies need to go elsewhere first!

Lamar signs has donated a $200,000 LED Graphic sign like you may have seen around Lafayette lately, and other gateway donors have chipped in to build the 130' long by 24' high bricked decortive wall at the corner of Bertrand and West Congress. This sign will not only help improve the looks of the complex but the programs image will continue to be upgraded looking very BIG TIME!!! The Sign will allow for other businesses to advertise and UL Athletics will enjoy in the new found Revenue!!!

Lourdes park has been held up some as there has been some nice changes made and Tony and Coaches will be able to rent these pavillions out to companies or individuals to help again make monies for the program. This is the work of Tony who saw a simular venue at Gas Light Park!

The whole field at the Tigue needs to be raised and releveled as through grading over the years a hump has developed and will cost some $300,000 to fix and install new sprinkler systems!!

E R Desormeaux is working on soil samples for the Lamar sign and wall at the corner of Congress/Bertrand!!

Thanks that is all I caught, feel free to add!

-Gerald said that he is doing mostly high visiable things first with a revenue stream. It's to show that we are improving and to make money at the same time.
-He said that Dr. A has been very supportive and HAS NOT SAID NO TO ANYTHING.
-There will be a major announcement very soon regarding a revenue!
-Season tickets are up by a record amount of 1,200.
-He made a very simple statement that things are happening!

-Coaches will be able to use the facility for there camps which they use to help pay some of the coaches salaries
-He also said that everything that he does is for recruiting. If it doesn't help recruiting he doesn't want to do it.

Thanks guys! Would love to see the "drawing"/plans for the skyboxes if they are ever made public. Many have debated the best way to accomplish this on this and the delphi boards. Hopefully it provides some cover for the student side of the stadium.

Turbine: any chance of getting the interview "archived" and available here?
