UL Football What kind of defense does UL run?

I read after the first two games the players said the other side knew what we were going to do. Is the defense to plain or obvious? What kind is it?

I don't know all the details about our system but we run a 4-3 defense.

They can change the alignment. They can change what they call it.

The fact is that the philosophy will not change much with the current staff.

It's mostly read and react. We are very non-agressive in our style of play. We don't blitz as much as other schools. We don't stunt as much as other schools.

When we do blitz, it's mostly not effective either due to lack of ability or lack of practice in doing it.

.at least, that's my interpretation of it.

The problem I have is that they look lost and noone seems to know who they should be covering etc. I've rewatched the LSU game until blue in the face and the DB's were pathetic. Poor alignment. Looked like they were avoiding tackling so they wouldn't get hit. Tackling with their heads down and completely missing the ball carrier or receiver. Reflects on the coaching staff.
