While at my mindless job I was thinking the same thing. He is arguebly our best playmaker and if he was able to play a little WR, I would love it. I understand the concern about him getting hurt and what not but if he was lined up in the slot with Smith to his right/left and Cherry by himself on the other side of the field the possibilities r endless. let me name a few though lolOriginally Posted by JMVCAJUNS
1) Our opponent would be forced to go man on man with Cherry on the opposite side of the field because of the fear of what desmo can do once he has the ball in his hand . I like Cherry's chances one-on-one with his speed going deep.
2) They play looser against Smith allowing a quick throw and Smith in open space (remember the play at lsu when he broke the defenders ankles)
3) Desmo in motion taking a handoff, screen, quick slant, etc
4) Desmo takes a pitch/handoff whichs pulls the defense in allowing a trick play of him throwing it over the top to an open Smith/Cherry.
I'm going to stop because that gets me excited.
where is he? Did he get kicked off the team? Quit? What's the deal?
He was academically ineligible for this season. What a waste. I believe this year would have been his year being that we have no one to throw to and he would have been forced to step up.Originally Posted by bigearl
He has one more year of eligibility left.
Geaux Cajuns.
An absolute waste. At 6'6" 200+ pounds - 2 catches in three years in the Sunbelt is PATHETIC. I'm very disappointed.
I just hope Jordan is very disappointed!! This kid has the body and has done nothing with it! Hopefully he gets his studies in line and stays in shape, gets back on the team and earns an extra year!!Originally Posted by bigearl

Let's all hope for the kid's sake (the most important one of all) that (1) he takes care of business in the classroom and ultimately finishes UL with a degree and (2) in the process returns to the football program and has a great senior season.Originally Posted by DaddyCajun
