UL Football UH visitor's tickets (sections 217-219 )

Does anyone know if there is a "visitor's section" at Houston's stadium? I understand that UL did not buy any tickets for the game, so we are on our own for the tickets.

Yes, and they have plenty of good seats at reasonable prices.

I am a student who will be in Houston that weekend with a few of my female friends (John Mayer concert). $25 bucks is a little pricy for us. Do you have any idea if we can buy the $17 dollar tickets and just move to the UL section? Are there Nazi ushers in the stadium that will keep us out? If anyone knows I would REALLY appreciate it. With concert tickets, hotel, etc. we are trying to cut down costs as much as possible.

Based upon my personal experience - yes - you will be able to that. Last time there we bought the "pricey" tickets and then moved to where the UL fans were mostly located. It's a 30K seat stadium and they had 16K for Tulane. There will be plenty of vacant seats unless we UL fans fill them.

As I recall, you will have to pay like $5 for parking in the lots nearest the stadium but you can park for free and walk from farther away. We did both on two different occasions.

If the weather is moderate by 10/07, it is a really nice place to watch football. Hot or nasty weather is about the only thing that could mess it up.

Maybe I'm wrong but I also seem to recall they sell beer.

Hey man, I will be there for the concert as well. If you have never seen John Mayer in concert you are in for an amazing show. He is the best I have ever seen live, right next to Coldplay, and is one of the top guitar players in the country... You'll know it when you see it.

How many of you are planning to go to the UH game? I went down to Houston yesterday, and I got a chance to stop at U of H. Its a pretty nice campus. I can't wait to actually see the Cajuns in person this season! I'm so excited!

Thank's alot Destin! That really helps me out a lot!!! I'm sure you can imagine how hard it would have been to get 4 poor college girls to shell out that much cash for a football game.

UofH's campus is nice except for the fact that its in the hood. There is a huge difference between UofH and the Rice campus, for obvious reasons. By the way if you are looking for a nice chill bar to hang out at, check out Shannigans (i think thats the name) in Rice village. I plan on making the game if possible. Houston is a great city to hang out in.

I will be there for sure. I always have fun in houston and getting to see the cajuns play just makes it that much more special. Don't know where I will be staying quite yet. I am planning on taking my little boy to the indoor Schlitterbahn in Galveston and the missus always likes to go shopping in the Galleria so a hotel near either one of those area would be great. Anybody has any suggestions?
