UL Football Is anyone else still hearing it from....

obsessed tiger fans. I'm starting to see it as some sort of insecurity rather than pride in our "flagship" university. First of all, it was a no. 8 vs. no. 100 (somewhere around there) matchup. Second, it was two weeks ago; and finally, was it really worth $700k?

As for the Cajuns, use this bye week as more time to regroup. We weren't expected to win either of these games. I was at the A&M game and that was a damn good team we played. The season starts in 12 days. 10-2, 9-3, 8-4, and even 7-5 are all a success for our program. You have to crawl before you walk.

Let's pack the stands next week and show them that we believe.

Later in the year when it is just an L on the W/L tally... yes $700k is worth it. Now, on to the future... bring it on NC A&T Aggies... gees, Aggies again... that's 3 in a row!

I like your thinking and enthusiasm. We need more of your type.

Yep.. For a game that is supposedly meaningless to them they sure cant quit yapping about it... All I say is "Are you really that proud of it??".... Anyway we have taken two on the chin... I did think we would compete better against the two A&M campuses thus far... But we didnt...

Im with you... lets pack Cajun field and get a feel good win that will propell the season to something special.... It is still in our grasp............

All I wanted out of the first two games was to compete. We didn't do that very well but we did play hard. Whether it was scheme or missed assignments, it just didn't get done. The first part of the schedule is over. Lets call it our preseason. I can't think of a better way to get your team ready for the Sunbelt than by playing against the level of competition that we did. We need to get healthy and beat the crap out of NC A&T and restore some of our confidence. I think we'll have a good crowd, first home game usually does, and winning will ensure a good crowd from there on.

It looks like the players are not on the same page. Some have hinted at it in the papers. The bye week and NC A&T game are good opportunities to fix that. I loved this schedule from day one. OOC Schedule A, OOC Schedule B, and the conference schedule, with byes between the three. On top of that, OOC-B gives us a mini-schedule that gets progressively more difficult each week.

I agree with you about not being on the same page. Especially in the defensive backfield. After watching the replay of our first game, to me it looked like our coverages and fronts didn't match up. I also think that the o-line is missing too many assignments. The loss of Chance may be hurting more than we think. We need better continuity in the line.

That being said, I can't wait for the home opener next week! Geaux Cajuns!!!

Well, I think insecurity is at the heart of the LSU hacks who always act in rabbid opposition to us being able to officially change our name to University of Louisiana. Our academic programs are, for the most part, much better than the rest of Louisiana's public universities, some of which have brought us excellent national recognition, such as our engineering programs and the CajunBot.

But, I guess if you go by the standards of LSU hacks, SPORTS should be the deciding factor in whether or not a university is credible. I guess Loyola shouldn't be recognized as a successful university, in that case.
