Stony Brook can swing it! Been telling people that all week and the response I kept getting was, "but they haven't played anybody". As a friend of mine who played professionaly used to tell me, "if you can hit, you can hit anybody".
Stoney Brook had 7 players drafted including a couple very early.
Stony Brook 2, LSU 1. Bottom 9
Not no mo.......Jones hit a lead off dinger in the ninth to tie.
HOMERUN STONY BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Homerun LSU. WOW. 3-3 10th
lswho?
guy for LSU hit a two out 3-2 offering for a HR to tie the game. SB scored a run in the top of the 11th on a sac fly, with LSU coming to bat in the B11. By the way, SB has 14 hits for 4 runs (all earned) while LSU had 3 runs (2 earned) on 5 hits.
Listening to Jay, I didn't realize a ball in the bottom of the 9th was misplayed by the right fielder giving the hitter another swing, and which he hit a game tying home run. SB should have won in nine. Now they are in a rain delay going into the top of the 12th.
Didn't see that play (I'm "kinda" working). But I did see an SB player go into the stands for an out. This game is a classic.
Doesn't have anything to do with conceding. Just stating the facts that the game should have been over in nine. Did nothing to take away from the HR that happened after the misplay.
