I have always thought about painting the bottom of the 2nd tier red and having a message like "Welcome to the Swamp" painted in black across it.
Here's a pic i did but I couldn't write a message because it was too small. This is just to give an idea of what I'm talking about. With the newly repainted wall of fame, the press box side is in need of some serious color. How much would it cost to do that?
Actually... what about one of those LED banners to go across the tier on the home side?? Like the ones the big schools are using these days. Wouldn't that be awesome? I don't know how much they cost but I bet they aren't cheap... although a big screen on the corner of Congress and Bertrand isn't either...Originally Posted by Kal

Then, lets tear down the existing chain link fence. It is old, rusted, and falling down. It is a terrible eye sore. The Cajun Dome doesn't have a fence around its grounds. Why do we need one around the athletic complex? We can add one later if the money is there. In the mean time, remove what we have and improve the looks of the complex a 100%.Originally Posted by UL Ragin Cajun

Activity will grind to a virtual halt for the next month and a half at the site of UL's under-construction athletic indoor practice facility.
The foundation has been completed and the sub-surface has been poured in the basketball practice annex, and the next major step won't come until the arrival of the building itself.
That, according to UL physical plant director Bill Crist, probably won't happen until late November.
"The first two sets of shop drawings were turned back and not approved by the architects," Crist said. "The third set was approved a couple of weeks ago."
