Oh holy hell. That "Lafayette" is going to upset some folks!

There will be no UL or Lafayette on the sign. Gerald will be using the Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun logo like below. That was simply a drawing but not the final product.

Looks really nice! Is this a project that is already funded? Any date on construction/ground breaking, etc? Looking forward to seeing all the improvements when I come in for the EMU game next week.

Gerald said that it would have been sooner but because of the size of it they had to do more to it so that the wind would not blow it down.

No they are having some vinyl graphics designed instead of paint. They will be actual pictures of each player with their retired #'s and their names.

Gerald is planning to have these graphics installed next Tuesday and is in need of a lift and also needs about 2 to 3 people to give him a hand. If anyone has access to a lift and or can help next Tuesday please give Gerald a call #482-0922 or cell #962-0296. He would really appreciate the help.

I have always thought about painting the bottom of the 2nd tier red and having a message like "Welcome to the Swamp" painted in black across it.
Here's a pic i did but I couldn't write a message because it was too small. This is just to give an idea of what I'm talking about. With the newly repainted wall of fame, the press box side is in need of some serious color. How much would it cost to do that?

Actually... what about one of those LED banners to go across the tier on the home side?? Like the ones the big schools are using these days. Wouldn't that be awesome? I don't know how much they cost but I bet they aren't cheap... although a big screen on the corner of Congress and Bertrand isn't either...
