Would-be junior free safety Cooper Gerami will not return to the UL Ragin' Cajun football team next season, Class of 2012 signee C.J. Bates will not join the team as planned and fellow signee Dominick Bilich plans to greyshirt, a UL spokesman said Thursday.

Never felt that Cooper had the speed to be a quality DB at this level. Was never impressed with him.

Disappointing to hear about Bates and Gerami not being here. I can understand about Gerami, given the concussion issues, but puzzled about Bates. Sounds like Riles might be able to help us.
