That time finally arrived Wednesday as Register issued a non-binding, verbal commitment to Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns after he and his parents met with coach Bob Marlin. The 6-foot-2, 160-pound Register is the first public Class of 2013 pledge for the Cajuns.

I've watched him and his brothers play since they were young. I gave his brother the nick-name "Cash" but since he has graduated and is now in law school, I'll pass it on to Hayward. Why Cash?
