We've learned more about the Carencro man arrested for allegedly biting a chunk out of another man's face over the weekend.
According to arrest affidavits, Carl Jacquneaux was involved in three violent incidents in Carencro on Saturday.
It all started that morning, on Veterans Drive in Carencro, where deputies say Jacquneaux shoved an elderly woman. That woman tells KATC that she is Jacquneaux's aunt. She believes her nephew was on drugs when he came into her home, making threats. Her daughter called police, and Jacquneaux ran off.
More than six hours later came that assault in which Jacquneaux is suspected of biting off a chunk of a man's cheek. It happened on Provost Road in Carencro. The victim is the husband of Jacquneaux's ex-wife, who had a restraining order against her ex-husband. The victim told KATC he had to spray Jacquneaux with wasp spray to get him to leave.
About an hour and a half after that assault, Carencro police officers were called to an apartment complex on Amesbury Drive for reports of an aggravated burglary. On scene, a friend of Jacquneaux told officers that Jacquneaux pushed his way into his apartment, and demanded a gun, which he knew to be inside the residence. The friend told police that Jacquneaux made threats against him.
At some point between the assault on Provost Road and the aggravated burglary on Amesbury Drive, deputies say Jacqueneaux called to surrender, but threatened to harm himself/others if he was approached.
Jacquneaux was arrested on Amesbury Drive without incident.
As for reports of drug use by Jacquneaux, deputies do not dispute claims made by family and friends, but say what drugs Jacquneaux may or may not have been using--is information which is outside the scope of their investigation.
