There are two players from the 1998 class that are in the NFL and two more that might make it.Originally posted by DestinCajun
Just my opinion but I think the 1998 class is the worst of all those posted - in terms of contibutions to the program.

That's the upside on this class. The downside was the huge number of players who never even stepped on campus and the effect that had over the next few seasons when UL got so short on depth, specially in the lines.
Destin, I agree. Out of 24 players only 8 (or 1/3) really contributed to the program and Scott only played for us 2 years since he was a JC transfer.
Ross Brupbacher, 6-2, 200, LB, Lafayette
Brian Deamer, 6-2, 180, DB, Amite
Brad Franklin, 6-2, 190, DB, Broadmoor (Baton Rouge)
Kyries Hebert, 6-3, 190, DB, Eunice
Trikeith Miller, 6-1, 190, RB, Lee (Baton Rouge)
Walter Sampson, 6-4, 215, LB, Crowley
Danny Scott, 6-4, 260, DL, Southwest Mississippi CC
Justin Venable, 6-1, 225, LB, Acadiana (Lafayette)
Did Walter Sampson really weigh only 215 as an incoming freshman?

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette decided to tap into the Copperas Cove (Texas) pipeline again for one of its top players.
After watching senior defensive back Charles Tillman enjoy a All-Sun Belt Conference career and running back Josh Harrison, a redshirt, show promise for the future, UL may have plucked its biggest plum from Copperas Cove when free safety Lamar Morgan (6-foot-3, 190 pounds) committed to the Ragin' Cajuns.

pirogue with that kind of information I wish you would post here more often.
I am boycotting Delphi, but I want to keep up with the Cajuns online.
Does anyone know which recruits are in this weekend for an offical visit.
Heard there are about 5, don't know any names. Tomorrow starts the dead period, no contact.
Heard from a very reliable source that DT Paul Eli has committed to us, don't know many details about him but he his expected to be a prop.
I'm very excited about this up coming season , i think the cajuns will be more than ready for South Carolina. Im even more excited to see if Babb will be under center... I'm hopeing Eric will be ready but if not I think it would be awesome to watch Babb he is a exciting player. I hear we got another QB from Texas ? The only thing I heard about him is that he is tall and can run? Whats the story on him ? Do you think if we get a QB with a run threat it might open up our Offense??Is bustle going to recruit a RB? I'm hoping we can get a shifty fella . Some one give me some answers . Go Cajuns
Not that I know of...Originally posted by Chuck
I know there is no choice since D1 mandates a school maintains a certain number of scholarships, and then says you can only sign so many in a year. But has UL ever gone this deep in the juco ranks?
from Natchitoches Central he's 6-1 221 lbs.
He is a two sport star, and is a standout on the basketball team.
This is all I could find on him.
anybody have any info?
