Both Lafayette TV stations reported the committment on their 6:00pm sportscasts.
some of you were saying earlier that we were not getting many "in-state" recruits. Well as of now, 9 out of 15 high school commitments are from the great state of Louisiana The other 6 are from Texas.
Here is the "SportsNote" that Cajun Call was refering to.

01 LSU
02 undecided
03 NC State
04 Wisconsin
05 undecided
06 Mississippi
07 Arkansas
08 Texas Christian
09 Notre Dame
10 Colorado
11 LOUISIANA
12 Georgia Tech
13 Nebraska
14 Auburn
15 Georgia Tech
Bustle is clearly
Out of control!
I think we can only sign 23 (because of a couple of props) so if any more of these lads want to get on board, they better do it quickly!
Your right Don, by my count we only have 5 spots left. I think one or two of these may go to props or will be saved for JC's signed either this summer or next fall. But who knows, can't wait to find out on the 5thOriginally posted by Crawfish

LAFAYETTE — One to catch it, and one to keep the other team from catching it.
That’s what Louisiana's football squad expects from its two most recent verbal commitments, those coming from Bunkie wide receiver Jordan Jackson and defensive back Lamar Morgan of Copperas Cove, Texas.

Their list still includes Eddie McCray who I had removed from my list (reported to have chosen Houston over UL) but I sure hope he sticks with us. The DA list also left off Ken Haynes the Juco DT who committed to us.
Just my opinion but I think the 1998 class is the worst of all those posted - in terms of contibutions to the program.
