If the game is in the evening I'am in.
Several other Louisiana prospects to mention are DL Jason Banks 6-3,285 from McKinley High in Baton Rouge.Banks has been offered by the Cajuns, but no word yet on his decision.Jason Lewis 6-3,307 OL from St.James and Bradley Thompson 6-2,190 DB from Plaquamine High both want to visit the Cajuns, but I don't think neither have their test scores yet.We should hear some news soon on a few commitments. Also, look for some recruits at Saturday's Basketball game.
Exactly! UL doesn't need players from any specific location. We just need PLAYERS! Period.Originally posted by Chuck
Out of state recruits are exactly what UL needs right now.
It's nice to have a lot of local talent, but if you rely exclusively on that, you are limiting your potential talent pool.
You need to get those other players from out of state just for the simple reason of getting the word out about your program. These kids go home during the break and talk to their friends.
See where I'm heading??
Heading down that road to success.Originally posted by CDeb

Cajun committment Eddie McCray from what I've heard will be visiting Iowa State this weekend. ISU needs d-line help, but the kid committed to the Cajuns and I hope he honors that committment.

ISU needs d-line help, but the kid committed to the Cajuns and I hope he honors that committment.Due to Baldwin's closed lip recruiting policy of the past three years, a lot of the players that Bustle and his staff are recruiting are hearing about the Ragin' Cajuns for the very first time.
So even though the kids like the info that Bustle and his assistants have provided, I am not surprised to see some of them visit other schools just for clarity of mind for themselves. Now you never want to lose a recruit, but I like Bustles openness. Even if he were to lose certain recruits I think the free advertisement is worth it.
Don't think for a second that sophomores and juniors who think they are good are not paying attention to the recruiting wars.
So win lose or draw I think that these players hearing the name "Louisiana" and Ragin' Cajuns several years in advance can only produce winning situations for UL down the road.

I wouldn't worry to much about that.Travis Ferguson is visiting Baylor & Houston. There are some kids the Cajuns are still recruiting that have committed to other programs.Generally you let them take their visits and hope to change their minds.
With JVC retiring is there an extra scholarship to give?
Look for the Cajuns to announce several commitments from Navarro JC DB's Ben Baskin,Courtney Sanders,Klye Williams and Rodney Birdow.I don't know yet if all of these guys were offered, but we should hear about several soon.Cajuns have a big weekend this week in recruiting.Tasmin Knockum is expected along with several other top prospects.
