Dang, dude. I'm not sure I'd say this team is losing "its heart" and "its soul." Maybe that language is a bit strong.
Are Orgeron and Brignac huge pieces that will be missed? Yes. But this team's heart and soul? Come on, man.
I have to agree with the article in some aspects. Christie and Ashley were the leaders of this group. However, with every great program there are always leaders waiting in the wings to step forward and I believe this will happen next year.
Since the coach said it, I'm going with it. Now, next year, we'll see who the heart and soul will be. Seems each year, new ladies step up. I suspect we'll see Jordan, Narissa, etc play one of those roles. We've had the two for fives years. Seems like they would have developed into the team's heart and soul. Just saying. I sure don't think he's saying next year's team will have no heart and soul; just different ones.
