I wish we could go to LSU and play 10 times a season. No matter if you don't want to come to Lamson. We'll smash you 10 times and probably get a national seed from the improved RPI. It's softball people...literally. Do I want the LAdy Cajuns in the WCWS? Hell yes! Am I gonna lose sleep over it? Hell no! We need football and football only to drive this bus! I understand the burn that comes with watching teams around us play in the post season, but all the "respect" your looking for comes on Saturdays and Saturdays only.

We all know football is the main driver of an athletic program in the south. However, other athletes can help our school gain respect as well. A men's basketball Sweet 16 appearance would no wonders for our school. The NCAA basketball tournament is the main revenue raiser for the organization. Granted we are a long way from being as competitive as we need to be in our own conference but the point is that sport can help us as well as football. In fact an attitude that only football counts does not give the athletes of the other sports the respect they deserve as they work awfully hard to earn that scholarship and represent this school.

Now you know I never let the facts get in the way of a good rant! Anyway, good luck against Cal. Had the pairings been reversed, I would have proclaimed our worthiness to be in the game. So the loss in the desert tastes bitter, but LSU "deserved" to be there because they won.
