    I love enterainment

  3. UL Football Louisiana vs. LSU fan base

In LSU's entire base of regular attendees there are roughly about 25,000 fans. 60,000 season ticket holders, 85,000 in attendance.

In Louisiana's base of attendees the general fan makes up about 15,000 of the crowd. The other 5000 traditionally are season ticket holders.

LSU's general 25K come from all over the state. While Louisiana's general 15K come mainly from the Acadiana area.

I cannot believe that in an effort to stifle a smidgen of LSU's 25,000 we would totally alienate Louisiana’s own 15,000.

LSU has around a 66% to 33% or 2/1 ratio of season ticket holders to general fan.

Louisiana has around a 25% to 75% or 1/3 ratio of season ticket holders to general fan. That shows massive room for growth.

You don't get that 75% over to the season ticket side by telling them we won't help you, go get your tickets at LSU.

Ragin' Cajuns TURB!! Is that YOU!?!

NICE picture!! I like the sign they have put up on the gate of the practice field. With any luck, they'll be able to put #2 up after NEXT Saturday!! Especially if Jerome Coleman can have another great night like last week!!

If UL was coming off 2 conference championships the stadium would be filled. 10,000 season ticket holders and 21,000 general fan base. There is a lot of room for growth at UL

    UL Football

    Link

Despite years of bad football our average attendence behind Louisiana Tech (this season) by only 4,932 and they went to a bowl game last year and have produced good football teams over the last 5 or 6 years. I think that is an indication of how well we could do with a improved product and marketing plan. We are on our way, like all things in life we must learn from our mistakes so they will not be repeated.

    Geaux Cajuns!!!!!!!

I think the improved program is slowly coming around. It will take a bit of time for Bustle to recruit what he needs to make his program more successful.
As far as the marketing plan, unless you remove the deadheads in that office I don't see much of an improvement. I came in on the end of football last year and from what I have seen and heard this year there is some improvement but I think Bustle and a few others outside of the marketing dept. have done the work.
I don't know if we can bring back those who have moved over to the darkside for their Saturday night football but there are people out there looking for something to fill in the blank spots. That is were UL needs to look to.
I have enjoyed going to the games in Lafayette and will continue as long as I see it is an atmosphere that wants me there because I am important to the program.

    Nice pic BIL and Turbine.
How did you get him to stand still so long? I thought he would be wandering about behind Coach Bustle.
