Congrats to the girls!!! A heck of a year a we got a bad draw to make it to the world series. We were one of the best teams in the country but not the best. I had fun following this team this year. We will miss smith, orgeron, Cormier, and Brignac.

Quit being a douchebag, its not time to question someones support of UL. Everyone on here bleeds red and white, we all love the cajuns no matter what. Sometimes we get aggrivated at the outcome and complain about it, oh well. If you dont like it then hop onto I10, drive east for an hour and jump on a bandwagon out there... I hear they love it

I really thought this was going to be the year the softball team would break through and win a NC. I think if the series goes 3 days we come back and win, but that's not the way it was drawn up. Thank you girls for being the class of the athletic department hands down.

We lost to the defending national champs who went 18-4 in the PAC 12. That conference has won 24 of the 30 titles in the sport of softball. Our girls did not choke, they competed just as hard as they did all season long. They simply lost to a very good team. It does not diminish the excellence they displayed this season. I may be stating the obvious here but it's very difficult to be the last team standing at the end of the season and be crowned champion. Let's be thankful that we have a program that is consistently capable of being in the elite company of teams who frequent Oklahoma City.
